Neuroscience shows that for someone with an eating disorder, the act of eating triggers anxiety rather than satisfaction. The brain’s reward system is inverted. Hunger feels like an accomplishment; fullness feels like a failure. It is a biological addiction to depletion.

​Spiritual: Saturn Strangling the Moon

In Ancient Egyptian Astrology (The 7 Planets), this is a violent conflict between two forces:

• ​The Moon: Rules the Stomach, Fluids, Nurturing, the Mother, and the emotional capacity to receive.
