​Medical: The Cortisol Spike

Biologically, your circadian rhythm is inverted. Instead of producing Melatonin (the sleep hormone) at night, your body spikes Cortisol (the stress hormone). You are literally “wired and tired.” Your Pineal Gland is calcified or confused by blue light, unable to signal the body to shut down.
