You Need Crisis Intervention
A crisis is defined as a time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger as well as a time when a difficult or important decision must be made. This being the case, everyone has to finally be a hero and admit that they are indeed in crisis. It’s the degree of this crisis that should clue us when it is vital to seek professional help in dealing with it.
Examples of crisis, normally refers to situations such as family crises include events such as familial abuse, family disease, and arguments, natural disasters are caused by weather-related events such as tornadoes and earthquakes and sudden financial crises are caused by events such as losing a job or not being able to pay bills. Very Well Mind says that there are a few different types of crises include:
Developmental crises: These occur as part of the process of growing and developing through various periods of life. Development crisis could be something as being born premature, or any condition which directly or indirectly affect a person’s development.
Existential crises: Inner conflicts are related to things such as life purpose, direction, and spirituality. They say a midlife crisis is one example of a crisis that is often rooted in existential anxiety, but I must also add several more that should always be considered when attempting to define your crisis. There is abandonment disorder, adverse childhood disorder, conflict of consequences, and so many others.
Situational crises: These sudden and unexpected crises include accidents and natural disasters. Getting in a car accident, experiencing a flood or earthquake, or being the victim of a crime are just a few types of situational crises.
At the very moment a crisis occurs, a part of us freezes because we may not yet understand how and why it occurred. It is also often brought about by an explanation that does not make real sense to us when explained. A part of us wishes to accept it and move on with our lives but that frozen part remains frozen until this situation is explained and presented in a way that immediately provides them with that “uh huh” moment.
It’s that moment when what they are hearing matches up perfectly with the way that they are feeling. That immense relief that your feel when your have that moment, is the unfreezing of that part of your that was frozen and now it can catch up with the rest of your psychic and all grow together. That’s the enormous benefit that finding your answers give your and one that can never be imitated or replaced. The feeling of being whole is the one and only goal of all of us as human beings and the sooner we can reconnect to all or any portion of us that was once frozen is quite joyous and indescribable.
I clearly remember when I discovered the answers to many of my personal issues, the very large boost of strength and courage that I received from no longer being a slave to my depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I was now able to take back control of the direction I wanted my life to go and learning more about myself gave me the determination to never let anything or anyone limit me from this moment on, so when people see me and hear of my accomplishments, they initially think it was because it was given to me but the smile that travels across my face when they say that, clues them in to a much different and bigger purpose. What we accomplish in life is never from what we were given but what we worked very hard for. Your employer may give you’re a chance to lead a team but it’s the amount of hard work and dedication that your put in to elevate yourself to a status far above the expectation of those watching. So when someone claims that you are where you are because you were handed that position, don’t despair, just smile, and say, I may have been given a chance to shine but it was only through my hard work and dedication which makes me shine.
To achieve this there is only one thing your need to do, and that is, when your feel life is getting a little too overwhelming, pick up the phone and call in a professional in crisis intervention to help your recovery your joy.
