Sulochana Lama
Dolma Sound Mindfulness & Inner Balance
This early experience represents an important part of her personal and cultural background and of the path that, over the years, led her to further develop her study, practice, and teaching of sound.
Dolma Sound – Professional Training School
Founded by Sulochana Lama in Venice, Italy in 2026, Dolma Sound is a professional training school dedicated to Sound Healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls, conscious sound, Mindfulness, and inner listening.
The school brings together knowledge and sensitivity rooted in the Tibetan and Himalayan traditions with a structured, practice-oriented educational approach adapted to the contemporary context.
Dolma Sound offers progressive training programmes structured into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, designed to progressively develop students’ theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and awareness required for the responsible and conscious use of Tibetan Singing Bowls.
Vision
The vision of Dolma Sound is to preserve and transmit the value of conscious sound, respecting and valuing the cultural heritage and sensitivity of the Tibetan and Himalayan traditions while making this knowledge accessible through a structured and contemporary educational approach.
Sound is understood not simply as a technique to be learned, but as an experience of listening, presence, vibration, and awareness.
The school aims to foster a community of practitioners and professionals who approach Sound Healing with knowledge, sensitivity, respect for tradition, and professional responsibility.
Mission
The mission of Dolma Sound is to educate practitioners through a structured theoretical, practical, and experiential learning process, transmitting knowledge and techniques related to Tibetan Singing Bowls and their conscious use.
The training is intended for holistic practitioners, wellbeing professionals, yoga and meditation teachers, coaches, counsellors, educators, and individuals interested in developing knowledge and practical skills in the field of conscious sound.
The aim is to provide progressive training that enables students to understand the relationship between sound, vibration, resonance, listening, breathing, presence, and awareness, and to integrate the knowledge and skills acquired into their personal or professional development, within the appropriate scope of their existing professional qualifications.
Teaching Approach
The teaching approach of Dolma Sound is inspired by Tibetan and Himalayan sound and contemplative traditions, with particular emphasis on direct experience and practical transmission.
The methodology integrates:
- theoretical and contextual knowledge
- conscious observation and listening
- demonstration of techniques
- individual and guided practice
- direct experience of vibration and resonance
- breathing, grounding, and presence
- development of sensitivity in the use of Tibetan Singing Bowls
- integration of traditional practices with a contemporary educational methodology
The central educational principle of Dolma Sound is:
“It is not only about learning how to play a Tibetan Singing Bowl, but about learning how to listen, feel, and use sound consciously.”
The training therefore focuses not only on technical skills, but also on the quality of listening, the practitioner’s presence, and the ability to work with sound consciously and responsibly.
Educational Values
The teaching philosophy of Dolma Sound is founded on three essential principles:
Presence · Awareness · Conscious Listening
These principles form the foundation of the school’s educational identity and provide the guiding framework for the learning pathways offered by Sulochana Lama.
