GENDERQUEER FUTURES LLC

Lasara Firefox Allen, MSW (they/them/Mx.), is a Certified Menopause Doula and Coach, published author, and founder of Genderqueer Futures LLC, an education and training platform specializing in gender-affirming menopause care. Lasara created and facilitates the Gender-Affirming Menopause Care Provider Certification Course, which prepares healthcare providers, coaches, therapists, and allied professionals to deliver inclusive, dysphoria-aware menopause care for trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive clients. Their work integrates clinical education, trauma-informed frameworks, and lived experience as a trans and genderqueer person navigating menopause. Lasara is the author of Genderqueer Menopause (North Atlantic Books, 2025) and the forthcoming Magickal Menopause (Llewellyn, 2026), and is a member of the Menopause Society, USPATH/WPATH, and GLMA. They have presented at the UCSF Transgender Health Summit, Creating Change, and other national conferences. Through Genderqueer Futures, Lasara is building infrastructure for systemic change in how menopause care is understood, taught, and delivered across healthcare settings.
